PLEASE NOTE:
While we want to provide as much detail as possible about the home and the children we support, we must safeguard the safety of the kids, the staff, and Project Rescue missionaries. In all publicized materials we refer geographically only to “southern Asia.” Please respect this important boundary as you seek support for your ride.
Project Rescue is a 501c3 charitable nonprofit organization. Tax deductible donations are nonrefundable and nontransferable to the fullest extent of IRS regulations.
ALL PARTICIPANT DONATIONS GO DIRECTLY TO THE KIDS AT THE HOME OF HOPE
Our ride expenses are paid by generous community sponsors, so every dollar you raise goes directly to the kids we're supporting.
SAMPLE FUNDRAISING LETTER
(Please copy and edit as needed)
Dear Friends and family,
I'm excited to tell you about an interesting, challenging opportunity.
I’ve joined the team for COLORADO MOUNTAIN TOUR 2023. Our team will spend 4 challenging days cycling the mountains in the area around iconic Pikes Peak.
Our ride will support the kids at Home of Hope in southern Asia. The home serves children who have been rescued from human trafficking.
The Home of Hope is part of a larger ministry called SURAKSHA, which means safety & protection. Total cost for holistic care is about $400 per child per month.
Our dream goal is to provide all of the operational costs ($100,000) to support every child at the Home of Hope for an entire year.
You can contribute to this important cause by sponsoring me on this ride and by sharing this information with others.

FUNDRAISING INFORMATION
FOR YOUR DONORS
Most of your donors will be family and friends who are eager to support you and your efforts. Experience indicates that it’s best to offer a clear, straightforward, consistent message about fundraising.
We encourage you to use the following talking points when communicating with your donors:
- FREEDOM TOUR 2023 will support the kids at Home of Hope in southern Asia.
- Our dream goal is to provide all of the operational costs ($100,000) to support every child at the Home of Hope for an entire year.
- 100% of your donations will go directly to the kids at the HOME OF HOPE.
- All ride expenses are paid by generous community sponsors.
The FREEDOM TOUR partners with PROJECT RESCUE
to support children who have been exploited and enslaved in Southern Asia.
At the HOME of HOPE, children rescued from the forced sex trade receive housing, food, clothing, medical care, and education in a safe and hope-filled environment.
HANDPRINTS
The handprints are the *actual handprints* of the kids at the HOME OF HOPE.
We plan to use these handprints in lots of places as we tell the story. Most notably, you’ll see them on the 2023 jersey and T-shirt. We plan to do a number of blogs as well.
We encourage you to use the “hands” theme if it’s helpful in your fundraising efforts.
This 3x5 image can be copied and used on a printed card or in an electronic presentation. If there’s something else you’d like us to create along these lines, let us know.
FOR YOUR BACKGROUND INFORMATION
Whenever several different organizations become involved in a project, roles and missions can seem confusing. The information below is intended to help you understand the various partners that support the FREEDOM TOUR and the HOME OF HOPE.
RICH’S RIDE (Becky & Rich Dixon) is the tour coordinator.
The HOME OF HOPE is part of a larger Project Rescue ministry called SURAKSHA, which means safety & protection. Project Rescue Missionaries work with a team of local Christians. Currently about 25 children live at the Home of Hope. Total cost for holistic care is about $400 per child per month.
Timberline Church is our missionary partner.
Please contact us with any questions.
Occasionally someone asks what we’re doing to address domestic human trafficking. It’s a worthy question. Here’s our suggested response:
For us, human trafficking is not just an issue. It's about a HOME OF HOPE for kids rescued from exploitation. We are passionate about the fight against human trafficking, but what really gets us excited is seeing individuals who have been enslaved experience freedom.
Instead of raising money to broadly fight "the issue," we've chosen to build a relationship with the people at a specific safe house to provide care for children who were rescued from brothels.
We know where the money is going, and we know the children whose lives are being changed as a result of our rides.
As our project grows, we hope to be able to partner with homes both domestically and abroad. In the meantime, we will continue the journey with these specific kids who depend on our team and our support.
Why Track Your Miles?
Tracking your miles on our app is an automatic fundraiser.
Every mile entered in our app is matched $1 per mile.
Tracking your miles might be a good fundraising strategy. Set a goal and ask people to donate a certain amount per mile. Then update your donors regularly on your progress. You'll build community and make everyone feel involved in supporting the kids of the HOME of HOPE.
It's a great way to motivate yourself. Setting a goal and watching those miles mount each time you ride, walk, or run might be the best way to get yourself out the door on a regular basis.
How To Track Your Miles
Please join our HOPE & FREEDOM CHALLENGE and track your miles in our app.
You'll be part of a worldwide community playing an important role in God's big story of justice.
Every mile you enter is automatically matched $1 per mile in addition to your fundraising efforts.
Just click the button and fill out the simple form. We’ll send you all the information you need to get set up on our app and start making your miles matter.
And of course, we're always here to help if you have questions.
